Target audience

The Global Neuro Workshop—Neurotrauma has been developed for neurosurgeons, critical care physicians/residents, and other health care providers, including emergency medicine doctors and trauma surgeons, dedicated to the integral management of Neurotrauma and complex and interdisciplinary patient care.

This half-day symposium covers the current best strategies and considerations for what every trauma surgeon needs to know in different scenarios of neurotrauma. 

It explores the TBI management protocols, focused on ER diagnosis and monitoring, their implementation, and results in different contexts.

By completing this symposium, participants will be better able:

  • To understand technical aspects of the pathophysiology of TBI focused on new trends and evaluation systems.
  • To review different protocols proposed for guiding therapy in neurotrauma patients under clinical and technical monitoring systems.
  • To practice noninvasive ICP monitoring techniques and discuss scenarios of applicability and decision-making for high ICP conditions in neurotrauma patients.
