This course is aimed at neurosurgeons, emergency physicians, and intensive care physicians who are or want to be involved in neurological emergency and neurological intensive care. We believe this seminar will be of great value not only to residents but also to specialists. We also hope to provide easy-to-understand explanations for nurses and pharmacists who work in the same field, and to create an opportunity to further strengthen teamwork.

In neurological emergency care, seamless medical care is important. There are many steps, from pre-hospital care to initial medical care, surgical procedures, intensive care, and rehabilitation, and all of them are essential steps. Neurons do not have the ability to regenerate, so once they are damaged, they become irreversible and cannot be recovered. In other words, thorough treatment is required at every step. And comprehensive treatment is reflected in the outcome. In this course, you will learn the essence of all these steps in a lecture and experience them hands-on.

This course focuses on the latest and best treatment strategies for neurological emergency patients, with a particular emphasis on advanced surgical treatment and neurointensive care. It is also based on the content defined in the Global Neuro curriculum. The content is provided through various methods, and the lecturers are Japan's leading doctors, who will answer your questions carefully and clearly. And we will invite global opinion leaders in this field to explain topics in neurological emergency care.

After the course, the participants will be able to

Understand the rationale behind the effectiveness of seamless neurological emergency care
Better interpret patient data, including neuromonitoring
Respond appropriately to the ever-changing brain environment
